Number Plates and Numbers

Number plates used for racing will have a certain background and number colour combination, depending on your class. Number colours can be purchased when buying the number plate either from the club or a bike shop (of course a second hand one is also fine). There are a few different number plate sizes available, simply match it up to your handle bar size/bike size.

Choosing a number

Numbers form 1-8 are not allowed, these are reserved for riders who have competed in state/national events and placed 1 to 8 in the final. All other numbers from 09-999 are allowed, if there is a duplicate number it usually won’t cause a problem at club level as the scoring system uses a unique transponder number to identify each rider.

Bundaberg BMX Club sells number plates for $30 which includes both the plate and numbers. These can be purchased on Tuesday or Friday night events from sign on.
